What this case converter does

Text case matters for headlines, code, file names, and social posts. This tool converts text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, and kebab-case. It works on sentences, lists, headings, and variable names. The conversion happens in your browser, so the text is not sent anywhere.

How to convert text case

  1. Paste your text. Type or paste it into the input box. Line breaks and punctuation are kept where the case style allows.
  2. Choose a case. Click a button. The result appears in the output box and can still be edited.
  3. Copy the result. Use the Copy result button or select the output manually.

Which case should you use?

  • Title Case capitalizes each word and is common in headlines and book titles.
  • Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and is the usual style for body text.
  • camelCase and PascalCase are common in programming. camelCase starts with a lowercase letter; PascalCase starts with an uppercase letter.
  • snake_case and kebab-case are used for file names, URLs, and some programming languages.

Tips

Case conversion is mechanical. It cannot know that a brand name has a special capitalization, or that a small word in a title should stay lowercase. Review the output before publishing. For code identifiers, check that the result matches the naming convention used by the project.

When to use it

Use this converter to clean up pasted text, prepare headings, rename files, or create variable names from a sentence. It is also useful when a document arrives in all caps and needs to be readable again.
